Dr. Christopher J. Morton, Sr., PT, DPT, CCCE
Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy, Master of Physical Therapy, Loma Linda University, B.Sc. Zoology, cum laude, University of Arkansas. Recipient of Fulbright College of Arts and Science Honors Award, National Dean's List Award and Loma Linda University Student Research Award. Presented research at American Physical Therapy Association conference.
Dr. Morton is the co-founder of Mariners Physical Therapy and has over 20 years of clinical experience in the field of orthopedics and sports rehabilitation. He is the Center Coordinator for Clinical Education and is a certified clinical instructor for the affiliated universities intern training. In addition to his formal training, Dr. Morton has been involved in extensive post-graduate continuing education including completing the one year Maitland Advanced Manual Therapy Program for Orthopedic Rehabilitation through Kaiser Permanente. He is also currently an adjunct professor for Vanguard University's Department of Kinesiology and a consultant to the Allergan Pharmaceutical company for the use Botox in musculoskeletal dysfunction and hyaluronic acid indications. Past member of the Division I University of Arkansas Football team (Southwest Conference Champions, Sugar Bowl and Hall of Fame Bowl appearances).

Mark A. Kirsch, PT, MPT
Master of Physical Therapy, Chapman University, B.Sc. Biology, University of California, Irvine. At Chapman University he majored in Anatomy with a focus on the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and a minor in neurology.
Mr.Kirsch is co-owner of Mariners Physical Therapy and has extensive experience in the field of orthopedics and sports rehabilitation. Mark has completed the Maitland Advanced Manual Therapy Program for orthopedics which is an extensive one year post-graduate continuing education and other courses including Vestibular / Balance Training, Advanced Shoulder Mechanics, and Movement Analysis of Gait. In addition to his formal training, he has been involved with South California soccer for 25 years and coaching for the last 15 years consisting of youth club silver elite, gold, and premier level teams. He has experience with providing PT for professional soccer teams, Olympic level Athletes, and world class dancers. Mark played Division I soccer for University of California Irvine and continues to play soccer for a competitive men's team.

Dr. Michael Thorpe, PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Physical Therapy, Loma Linda University, graduated magna cum laude, recipient of awards for scholarship and clinical performance.
Dr. Thorpe has 10 years of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, the last 6 of which have been at Mariners Physical Therapy. He has taken a special interest in the treatment of the foot and ankle, sacroiliac joints, thoracic outlet syndrome, and lymphedema. He has taken continuing education courses including McConnell taping, Kinesio taping, positional release, strain counter strain, Mulligan mobilization with movement, treatment of thoracic outlet syndrome, and lymphedema management. He has also done independent dissection and study at the Loma Linda University cadaver lab.
Mike spends most of his time with his wife and daughter, competes in the highland games, enjoys volleyball, blacksmithing, and is involved in youth ministry at his church.

Dr. Kimberly R. Witkowski, PT, DPT
Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Loma Linda University, B.Sc. University of Indianapolis Psychology/Pre-Physical Therapy graduating with honors.
Kimmy completed PT school graduating cum laude, receiving the Fred B. Moore Award for excellence in clinical practice, National Deans List Award, and Loma Linda University Student Research Award. Kimmy enjoys working in the outpatient sports/orthopedic setting and currently works at Mission Hospital providing inpatient physical therapy on the weekends.
Kimmy is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and has been recognized in the Biltmores Whos-Who of Professional Women. Her Doctoral research project studying ankle dorsiflexion range of motion in elderly women has been published in the American Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy. Kimmy completed the year long orthopedic manual therapy course and currently writes articles for two national physical therapy magazines, including her most recent article, Resistance Training and Sarcopenia. Kimmy has worked with many types of orthopedic diagnoses at many different levels from children and adults with sports injuries, static postural syndrome, and mechanical driven injuries in dancers. She enjoys utilizing manual therapy, functional rehabilitation, and movement science techniques to help restore normalized movement and function.

Dr. Christine L. King, PT, DPT
Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Chapman University, B.Sc. Oregon State University Exercise and Sport Science.
Christine joins the staff at Mariners after completing a clinical rotation with us early in her education. Following her internship with Mariners, she received her Women's Health specialty training. She has taken a special interest in treating patients with tailbone dysfunction, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, pelvic floor spasm/dysfunction, pudendal nerve entrapment, pre/post-partum complications, incontinence and post-mastectomy.
Christine is enthusiastic about helping patients to improve their quality of life with physical therapy intervention. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy association. She has worked with a wide variety of diagnoses in the outpatient orthopedic setting during her clinical rotations throughout Orange County.
Christine grew up just outside of Portland, Oregon and moved to Orange County for graduate school. She played soccer and basketball throughout high school and currently enjoys running. She is an avid football and baseball fan. In her free time she likes to spend time with friends, go to the beach, exercise, attend sporting events, ride her beach cruiser, and visit her family and English bulldogs, Grumpy and Beatrice, in Portland.
